3 Tips How Vibe Coding Saves Your Company Money

The process of using AI to write code quickly and informally, also known as vibe coding, has gained popularity over the course of 2025, largely due to technical advances from AI labs like Anthropic and OpenAI. But how can you harness the power of biometric programming to grow your business, get more work done, and save money?Â
In 2025 5000 Conference and Concerttwo founders of bio-programming companies tried to answer these questions. This is their advice: Â
“The worst is the best”
Billy Howle, founder of development agency Stupid Simple Apps, told the audience that the key thing to understand about enthusiast programming is that “the worst is the best.” According to Hoyle, most companies overpay for software they don’t need, when a less complex and cheaper solution may suffice.
Howell said he recently worked with an employee at a small real estate investment trust. “Somehow, they got a bill for $100,000 from Salesforce,” he said. But according to this employee, the company just needed to accomplish something relatively straightforward.
The employee asked if Howell could create a similar tool using a dynamic coding platform like Replit. Together, Howell and the employee developed a custom solution, which the employee sold to the company’s CEO. Now, according to Howell, the company no longer needs to rely on Salesforce, saving it a significant chunk of change
“Simplicity is more important than perfection,” Howell said. “You don’t need most of the features.”
Build and don’t buy
Paul Ford, founder and CEO of Brooklyn-based AI-powered development platform and agency Aboard, introduced himself as “the corporate version of Billy.” Aboard customers are given access to a platform that enables them to design a prototype version of their desired application, which the company’s team of engineers then improves.
Because of enthusiastic programming, “what I used to charge you a million dollars is now done in 10 minutes,” said Ford, who previously founded software studio Postlight. Ford told the entrepreneur audience that in 2026, “I want you to explore options on the go.” Instead of waiting for reports, Ford said, look for tools and “prototype, prototype, prototype.” Not only is this process quick, Ford said, it has the added benefit of removing many meetings from your schedule
“Building is often faster than buying, which is very concerning as well,” Ford said.
Start the conversation
Programming a Vibe app can be a good way to solve a simple problem.
Kimis Hancock, chief operating officer of Hawaii-based IT services company IndevTech, asked the committee to help create an app to help her find fun things to do with her kids over the weekend. “I wanted to create a tool that would plan your weekend based on your budget, family size” and other variables to help “moms who are too busy to plan,” she said.
Howell suggested that Hancock try to develop lengthy, “formidable” claims that would explain her needs in more detail. One way to create these lengthy prompts is to use a voice dictation app, he said Superwhisper Simply speak to your favorite AI platform, like Replit or Google AI Studio, in spoken language. He also said that active programmers should try to upload a screenshot of user interfaces similar to what they have in mind for their own app.
Likewise, Ford suggested uploading a PDF of the technical and aesthetic specifications of your app in order to give the AI model a better idea of what you’re after.
Aboard started working on the weekend planning tool, and after about 10 minutes the platform created a small app full of fake weekend data.
“The point of this is not that I’ve solved the problem, the point is now that we can actually have a conversation about what needs to happen without it being incredibly abstract,” Ford said. From here, Ford says, the business leaders requesting the app and the software developers building it can start off on equal footing, leading to a more collaborative process.
