General Hospital: Carly and Valentin – A sizzling revenge romance ignites?!

§ General Hospital Carly watched Spencer (Laura Wright) fall for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) in Steinmauer Prison, and they made an alliance that no one expected. But will there be a more personal side to this than just them working together to take down a common enemy?

General Hospital: Carly gives Jack one last chance – he ruined her
Most recently, we saw Carly give Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) a chance, one last chance to admit that he recruited Josslyn Jax (Eden McCoy) into WSB. But instead of admitting the truth, Jack lied right to Carly’s face and played it off. When she mentioned that Josslyn was in danger, Jack acted under the assumption that Carly was talking about Vaughn (Bryce Dorff. Jack said that Joss was never in any danger and was not part of Vaughn’s WSB mission. That’s not just one lie, it’s two blatant lies, and this is what happened. Carly was angry, but she kept it under control, and he doesn’t know how crazy she was.
Carly’s secret mission: eliminate a traitor
The next thing we see, of course, is Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) being contacted to arrange a very convincing fake identity that Carly said should stand up to significant scrutiny. Spinelli did a good job because Carly took off to Steinau in Switzerland and surprised Valentin. Of course, he was in absolute shock to see Carly at all, let alone her in disguise and pretending to be Valentine’s lawyer.
The shocks continued when Carly told Valentine that she was going to take out Jack, and asked if he wanted to be in on it. After talking to Valentin, we saw that Carly was angrier than Jack because Valentin was being so honest. He told her many things. And as they were talking and Carly was wondering why and how Jack recruited her daughter, Joss, that got her thinking, and then she became, like I said, nuclear crazy.
Valentin explained how WSB recruiters and how they exert influence over people so they can bring them in. When Carly was talking about the timing of Gus’ recruitment after the death of Dex Heller (Evan Hoover) and the disappearance of his killer, well, inspiration struck Valentin. He suggested to Carly that it was possible that Jocelyn killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and that Jack facilitated it to see how far she would go. We all know, yes, that Gus actually killed Cyrus, and Jack set it all up.
An unlikely alliance forged by betrayal
Carly is absolutely horrified that Jack, the man she was falling in love with, has turned her daughter into a killer. Now Gus was a secret agent who was living this dangerous life. So Carly is determined to destroy Jack, take him down, and get Gus out of WSB. Valentin tells Carly that neither he nor she can take down Jack alone. Carly has now made a deal with Valentin to work together to destroy Jack.
When they were talking about strategy, Valentine said that Carly is the key to undoing Jack because he trusts Carly more than anyone else in this world, which is true. Valentin was saying that Carly needed to go back to Port Charles and convince Jack that she loved him more than anyone else and more than anything.
From a revenge plot to an unexpected romance?
But what I’m wondering is, while planning to take down Jack, will we see Carly and Valentin become romantic? Could Carly fall in love with Valentin and he reciprocates? We know that Carly has no problem dating a vile man who operates in gray areas. She almost married Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), who was a reformed serial killer and at the time she believed he had arranged the assault of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in prison. You know, I looked back. Carly is best friends with hitman Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Carly was married and had children with gangster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Plus, she was falling in love with Jack, the man who was arrested the day he planned to kidnap her, and she knew it.
I don’t feel like Carly falling in love with Valentin is a stretch. He’s kind of right in Carly’s wheelhouse of making inappropriate love life choices. And Valentin, he has a history of dating strong, fierce, gorgeous, confident, successful, and powerful women like Carly. He was madly in love with and married to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), even when she was doing crazy things.
General Hospital: The history runs deep
For many years, he focused his entire attention on Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), even when he thought she was a double agent doing dangerous things. So, yes, Carly is right up Valentin’s alley too. And yes, he’s a bad guy, but he’s also a loving father, and I think she respects that.
I can actually see Carly and Valentin getting involved and falling in love with each other, especially as they mend their broken hearts. Carly is with Jack because he has a crush on her now, and Valentin is with Anna because it’s finally over. So, they’re both in this vulnerable, lonely, misunderstood place right now General Hospital.
Explosive fallout: How will Port Charles react?
If Carly and Valentin got together, can you imagine the reaction and repercussions in Port Charles? Sonny and Jason will lose their minds, and Jack will flip out if Carly decides to be with Valentine. Then there’s Nina. I mean, can you even imagine that she would go completely nuclear if Karlie married her ex-husband Valentin. Because remember, it wasn’t that long ago that Carly read Nina a scavenger hunt for dirt, saying she hooked up with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) because he was Carly’s leftovers.
Nina will probably have a lot to say because she and Carly hate each other. They’re only polite when they have to be, which isn’t very often. So Nina might as well try going to Valentin and asking him, “What are you doing? Don’t get involved with Carly.” Nina might try to shut it down. I’m sure Jason and Sonny would do it, but I don’t think it would work.
Future stories and behind-the-scenes gossip
Valentin, of course, needs to break out of WSB prison so he and Carly can take down Jack together. I think Carly He may be looking for A way to make it happen, to get him out of there. She knows people who can help. You never know, especially if Jack was disgraced in the WSB thanks to her involvement, you know, leading to his failure.
I actually loved seeing Carly with Valentin. It was out of the blue. And it was surprising. It was fresh. If they had moved him from deception to passion, it would have been better. Wooing Carly and falling in love with Valentin would be something new. I think it would be very interesting, not the same age, but the same age. So, I’m totally here for it because I love a good development, but I also love James Patrick Stewart to stick around for the long term.
By the way, there’s a rumor I’ve been hearing for a while that Chris McKenna might be leaving the team. I heard that a little while ago, and then nothing happened. He’s under contract, but if they destroy Jack, it might happen. We’ll see how it works. But I would absolutely love to see Valentine and Carly’s revenge plan escalate and also turn into a romance.
