The big question is, what do they have in mind when they bring Matt Atkinson back? I don’t think he’ll be back for a long time because he said in Casey Kaspryzk’s Insta post, Matt Atkinson was on set for this week. He said he was happy to be back this week. That seems very limited. He didn’t say he was back in general, just for this week. This is a red flag.
How Thomas’ return could affect Hope and Liam’s involvement in the B&B
No matter how long it takes for Thomas to return, I wonder what his return could mean for Liam and Hope, given that Thomas is no longer engaged to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and is currently single. We have some ideas about what Thomas might do once he returns home to Los Angeles. The first thing is that I feel like the B&B might rush Hope and Liam’s wedding. They could be Mr. and Mrs. Spencer before Thomas returns for these Christmas episodes. But if they are not married by then, Thomas may interfere in Hope and Liam’s wedding. There is a possibility that Thomas is trying to stop Hope from marrying Liam and trying to convince her to come back to him. That would of course be soapy and exciting.
But I think there is a possibility that Hope and Liam would have remarried by then. If so, I think Thomas would accept that. He didn’t even ask about hope. When Thomas returned for these two Taylor episodes to respond to Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lange) and Ridge marriage, he didn’t mention Hope. So Thomas might want to talk to her though. Maybe he wants to know why Hope said yes to Carter Walton’s (Lawrence St. Victor) proposal and yes to Liam’s proposal but rejected his proposal twice. Maybe Thomas is trying to discover himself so he can get his happily ever after.
The last time he was in town, Thomas told Ridge he wasn’t feeling well. Thomas said he felt like he wasn’t tied to anything after his breakup with Paris and because he’s not working on a line at the moment. So, Thomas may be doing some soul searching and self-reflection so he can try to put himself in the right place to find someone to love and build a life with. He may have some questions for Hope to try to understand why it’s not working out so he can do a better job in future relationships while not trying to interfere with her current one.

The second thing is that Thomas might come back to check on Taylor and make sure she doesn’t suffer from broken heart syndrome again since Ridge is back with Brooke again. Additionally, Taylor might talk to Thomas about her feelings for Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and see what he thinks. May tells Thomas that Taylor being with Deacon is a terrible idea because of his past.

Thomas, on the other hand, was evil himself. He performed a kind of redemption, not a complete redemption. It has changed a lot. It is clear that Thomas believes in salvation and that people can change. So maybe he’s open to the idea that Deacon has it and that he might not be a bad match for Taylor. Thomas might say to his mother, “Go for it. Follow through with Deacon. Just be careful about Sheila.”
A professional return to Forrester Creations on Bold and the Beautiful?
The next thing Thomas might come back for Related to Forrester Creations a job. Finally, we could see Thomas return to bring Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) over for the holidays to allow him to see the family, and perhaps to drop him off on an extended visit with Hope and Liam. This would make sense if Thomas came back for the holiday and brought Douglas with him. We did not hear anything about Henry Al-Sumairi returning for this visit. I’m glad Matt Atkinson is back, but guys, I don’t think Thomas Forster will be back forever.
