Didi was transferred to FCI Fort Dix
Sean “Diddy” Combs will now call FCI Fort Dix home after being transported there in the early hours of Thursday morning to begin his prison sentence, according to TMZ.
The Bad Boy Records founder was previously detained at MDC in Brooklyn after his arrest in September 2024 on federal felony charges bordering on sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.
The jury acquitted him of the more serious charges but found him guilty of two prostitution charges, with Judge Arun Subramanian slamming him with just over four years in prison and a $500,000 fine, although time already served behind bars counted toward his sentence.

The rapper’s life was under threat in the MDC

When Dede was at MDC, Dede’s lawyers complained bitterly about the appalling living conditions there, saying he had no access to clean water and could go days without exposure to fresh air.
His life also received a major threat, as his lawyers revealed during his sentencing that someone had tried to beat him in prison.
The “Bad Boy For Life” rapper appeared to be on the verge of death as his close friend, Charlucci Vinny, claimed he woke up to a knife at his throat and that the invader could have killed him.
“He woke up with a knife at his throat,” Vinny revealed. “I don’t know if he resisted him or the guards came, I only know what happened.”
However, Finney added that the incident may have been a warning rather than an actual murder attempt.

“If this man wanted to hurt him, Sean would have been hurt. It would only take one second to slit his throat with a weapon and kill him,” he said.
Maybe this was a way of saying: “Next time you won’t be so lucky.” Everything is intimidation. But with Sean it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem,” Vinny added.

Didi wants to expedite his appeal

The 55-year-old is now expected to be released in May 2028, assuming he receives good conduct credits.
His lawyers had previously notified a US court of their plans to appeal the ruling, after submitting a notice of appeal more than a week ago.
On Wednesday, they filed legal papers with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, asking the court to expedite a review of his conviction, as they believe his sentence should be reduced by 50 months.
“Mr. Combs expects to challenge both his conviction and sentence in his appeal. The expedited briefing schedule and argument schedule are critical to ensuring that Mr. Combs’ appeal of his sentence does not become moot while the appeal is pending,” the filing said, according to NBC News.
“Accordingly, to ensure that Mr. Combs can meaningfully benefit from any appellate ruling vacating his sentence, we have proposed a timeline that would expedite this court’s consideration of Mr. Combs’ appeal,” she continued.

“But it will always be up in the air whether he will grant a pardon or not,” they added.
