Dede’s lawyers spoke about his living conditions at MDC before his transfer to FCI Fort Dix

While detained at the MDC Center in Brooklyn, he faced threats to his life and possibly harm after a knife-wielding prisoner got close enough to press the weapon to his neck.
Living conditions in the maximum security prison were so appalling, his lawyers revealed that he had no access to clean water and could go days without exposure to fresh air.
There were also reports that the facility’s food was substandard, with allegations that meals infested with maggots were served, among other complaints.
Diddy’s close friend Charlucci Vinny also confirmed the rapper’s lawyer’s claims that his life was on the line due to a makeshift knife incident. But he explained that it was most likely a “warning.”
The rapper woke up with a knife at his throat

According to Diddy’s close friend, Vinny, the knife incident at MDC may have been a warning rather than an actual murder attempt.
“He woke up with a knife at his throat,” Finney told The New York Times. Daily Mail. “I don’t know if he resisted him or the guards came, I only know what happened.”
He continued: “If this man had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take one second to slit his throat with a weapon and kill him.” “Maybe this was a way of saying: ‘Next time you won’t be so lucky.’”
Feeney added that in prison, “everything is intimidation,” but noted that such an act likely did not affect Diddy because the music mogul “is from Harlem.”

Didi’s appeal was granted

Last week, Diddy’s lawyers filed legal papers with the US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, asking the court to expedite his appeal after the rapper claimed it was the only way to ensure justice, given his sentence and the possibility of it being served while the appeal is pending.
“Mr. Combs expects to challenge both his conviction and sentence in his appeal. Expedited briefing and docketing are critical to ensuring that Mr. Combs’ appeal of his sentence does not become moot while the appeal is pending,” the filing states..
“Accordingly, and to ensure that Mr. Combs benefits meaningfully from any appellate ruling vacating his sentence, we have proposed a timeline that would expedite this court’s consideration of Mr. Combs’ appeal,” she added.
according to TMZThe judge granted the request on Monday, meaning Diddy and his attorneys will have a faster appeals process. This would see his lawyers give oral arguments as early as April 2026.
