The disgraced prince’s family are said to be in a celebratory mood after news emerged of his demotion to commoner status, without any royal titles.
Prince Andrew was embroiled in a sexual assault controversy in 2021 when Virginia Giuffre dragged him to court over his sexual misconduct. She sadly died by suicide earlier in the year, leaving her family in great distress.

Inside the shocking demotion of Prince Andrew by the Royal Palace

While there have been months of speculation about what fate awaits the prince, the timing was nothing short of paradoxical. As shared by The Blast, King Charles grabbed the bull by the horns and completely stripped Andrew of all his royal titles, honors, and even the House of Windsor.
The process began on Thursday, when King Charles began the formal process to remove his status as a senior royal, and will now be known by his regular name, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
He will also lose the status of his honors, including the Order of the Garter and a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. Sources close to the palace confirmed that this removal was by Charles’s decision only, without pressure or coercion from government officials or the palace itself.

The decision came after months of meetings and a recent surge in public anger over Andrew’s friendship with the late Jeffrey Epstein.

A long statement of 109 words sealed Prince Andrew’s fate

The statement issued on Thursday correctly stated that the decision was made directly and without emotion. The statement stressed that their thoughts and deepest sympathy remain with “the victims and survivors of any and all forms of violations.”
Andrew also reportedly provided false information about how close he was to Epstein, insisting he cut ties with him in 2010.
Joffrey’s diaries, which revealed everything and delved into his financial affairs, sparked more anger among the population to the point that the palace felt the heat.
The implosion in the palace was then brought under control by the king, who approved the statement and the strict style in which it was written.
Most importantly, the 30-room Windsor Inn will no longer serve as his home, as the King has reportedly allocated him a much smaller residence at the King’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

King Charles will not leave his brother without a safety net

Despite this crucial step, The Blast noted that Charles still has affection for his brother and will not leave him hanging. Most importantly, Charles is fully aware of how much he now needs to protect his brother from possible revenge missions from the people affected.
The king also felt a blow from his brother’s actions when he was harassed on his way to Central Cathedral on Monday by a passenger over Andrew’s relationship with the late sex offender.
A passerby reportedly inquired about Charles outside Lichfield Cathedral in Staffordshire, England, seeking to know the extent of the Royal Palace’s involvement in covering up Andrew’s traces.
However, the King’s persistent attitude towards his brother greatly displeased his son and future King of England, Prince William. He had previously advised his father to take a very aggressive approach towards distancing himself from the long-disgraced prince.

Prince Andrew’s defenders are alleged to have hastened Virginia Giuffre’s suicide

The late Giuffre, who was a sexual assault activist before her death, is said to have suffered a lot of mental anguish. A source close to her explained that since she came forward with her story about her experience with Andrew, she has become the target of severe criticism.
“I think she was on the next level because of that, and because of the prince part in particular,” her friend Annie Farmer said. “I think that was very difficult. These kinds of fights, they seem like they’re always going on.”
“When I got the phone call, I said, ‘Are you kidding?’ “Because there was no indication that this was something she was thinking about,” Farmer concluded.
Giuffre’s lawyer, Carrie Lowden, also expressed doubts about the activist’s shocking suicide, stressing that she never showed any signs of wanting to kill herself.
Although she was in a lot of pain because of her past, her lawyer claimed that she was very optimistic about the future and even had plans to renovate her home.
