
Chase Chrisley says Savannah was right to be angry about his sobriety

“She has every right to be upset with me and angry,” he noted. “Despite that, a savannah can hold a grudge. She can hold a grudge.”

Before his parents returned home, Chase made headlines when he was arrested last January on a simple battery charge after being named as a suspect in an alleged assault at an Atlanta bar. He was taken into police custody and later released on $10,000 bail.

“When I learned of my son’s arrest while I was in prison, I felt afraid,” Jolie said in an audio call from a prison phone call. “The worst thing you can think of as a parent is to think that he is behaving in a way that is leading him down a bad path. It breaks my heart.”
Todd, 56, expressed his frustrations in a separate phone call. “I don’t know that I was shocked, because I’ve been warning Chase for years to stop drinking. There’s nothing at the bar that won’t bring you good luck,” he said.
Chase’s relationship with Savannah was also damaged by his drinking.
“I tried. I tried to help him,” she said in a confessional interview on the reality show. “I had him set up to go to the treatment facility. I had already bought him a plane ticket. We had already gone through the entire admission process and then he asked me to go myself.”
Todd revealed on the podcast on Wednesday that his kids are in a “much better place” after Chase prioritized his sobriety. He previously celebrated Chase’s return on the October 22 episode of his show with Jolie.
“My baby is back. And I also don’t want to minimize that, because Chase had a problem with alcohol. … It’s an everyday thing and he’s sober now,” Todd shared. “It feeds my soul to be with him, and just spending one-on-one time together, and working out. I’m so grateful that he’s doing so well, and to see the light back in his eyes and hear the joy coming from him and the plans, and the excitement about living again.”
Despite their rocky relationship, Chase has publicly supported his sister on social media as she fights for their family.
“I am so proud of you @savannahchrisley for the work you have done and the voice you have provided not only for our family but for all families that don’t have a voice!” Chase wrote via Instagram in November 2024. “You are truly an inspiration. Your determination and drive are beyond measure and I am so proud to call you my sister! I love you!”
